If you are considering changes to your home such as an extension then Planning permission and building regulations may be required.
On the 1st of October, the government relaxed the planning rules to make it easier for the home owner to make improvements to their home.
For more information on the planning rules and to use the governments interactive guide to see if planning and building regulations are required, click here (opens a new window).
If planning permission or building regulations are required, we can produce all the required drawings and documents and submit them to the local authority on your behalf.
For budgeting purposes, Planning permission for a typical extension would cost
£325. Note that this INCLUDES the planning fee, which is currently £150.
For this we would...
Visit the site and perform a survey of the property.
Produce existing and proposed floor plans and elevations of the proposed development
Produce a site location and block plans
Complete the planning application and submit to the local authority
Liaise with the local authority when required
Hard copy and electronic plans made available for the home owner
If a full plans building regulations application is required, and we have produced the planning permission drawings already, then this would cost from £100. Note that this DOES NOT include the building regulations fee or structural engineer costs as these vary depending on the development.
For this we would...
Produce full construction drawings and liaise with building control when required
Liaise with a structual engineer where required
Complete the building regulations application form and submit to the local authority
Hard copy and electronic plans made available for the home owner
Please contact us to discuss your individual requirements.
